About
Q: Where can I buy eco-friendly body care products?
A: There are many bodycare products that are potentially damaging both to the envioronment and to yourself. There have been studies published that have linked parabens to restricted genital development in male babies due to the oestrognic effects of the chemicals, as well as being linked to an increase risk of breast cancer.   Other chemicals such as zinc pyrythrine which is the active ingredient in anti-dandruff shampoo is highly toxic to fish; a teaspoonful can kill all the fish in a large fishtank.  The extensive use of animal testing in cosmetics has also been a more traditional topic of concern over a much longer period of time.

There are a number of retailers that are either producing or retailing products that don't contain any of these chemicals and haven't been tested on animals.
