Q: Where can I buy eco-friendly office supplies and stationary?
A: Eco-friendly office supplies and stationary are far more wide ranging than recycled
paper and envelopes, although those are obviously widely available. There is everything
from pens and notebooks made from plastic bags to cards made from sheep poo. The
links below will take you to some of these suppliers.
The Green Office - Office supplies that don't cost the earth! As a company they
are increasingly aware of the responsibility of us all to respect our environment
and therefore they only select products that are environmentally benign or have clear
environmental advantages over standard stationery items. They sell everything from
paper, books, pens and diaries, to files, folders, inks, glue and even first aid
kits.

The Green Stationary Company - selects products that are environmentally benign or
have environmental advantages over the standard stationery equivalents. They aim
to maintain sustainable business practices within a culture that respects all life
and honours its independence, and to ease their customers' path to a modern, low-impact
office. They also stock a wide range of office stationary, including paper, ink,
storage, pens and pencils and other office accessories. Discounts are available
on bulk orders.

including the unique and wonderful Sheep Poo Paper™. All their paper is made from
recycled materials and their processes are designed to live up to the highest environmental
and quality standards possible. They stock a range of cards, papers, envelopes and
even maps, all made out of sheep poo.

I purchased an EcoZone staple-free stapler the other week, so thought I would share
a quick review of the product.
Well for a starter it was only a fiver, so that's the price question covered. You
can find having a green label adds a stack to the cost. It comes in a plastic package
but is small and there is no wasted packaging.
Functionally it works much like a stapler only is obviously much smaller so is slightly
more fiddly to use. It basically punches a whole through the sheets of paper then
folds the punched out section back up and then through another smaller hole. It can
only staple up to about 4 sheets of paper but does hold them securely and is easily
separated if needed. It does do more damage to the paper than ordinary staples though
due to the larger hole but this can be folded back down when unstapled so no information
is lost from the papers.
Overall it is a really handy little device and will save a lot of metal over time,
but won't replace your stapler completely.
Rating 4/5.
