Q: How do I switch to eco-friendly electricity and gas supply?

A: There are dedicated green energy companies, as well as green tariffs from many of the regular utilities companies, where the electricty is either wholly or partially supplied from renewable sources and the gas is offset for you.  These will normally cost a little more than the standard tariff, but you can rest assured you have the most eco-friendly energy supply you can get. Don't forget to make sure you reduce your energy usage as much as possible as well.

Green Suppliers

The Co-operative Energy - recently launched simple single tariff for all; sourcing as more energy as possible from renewable resources.  You will also get a cut of the profits as it is a co-operative, and all the other profits are ploughed back into the business. The account is completely on-line, included pdf documents and  billing.  Rates compare really well to the large suppliers.
