Q: Where can I buy eco-friendly cleaning products?

A: There is a huge range of different eco-friendly cleaning products.  The main problem with ordinary detergents is that they are not biodegradable, so they cause pollution, damage to fish, and some contain female hormone mimics, that cause gender abnormalities in animals. A number of suppliers and manufacturers are detailed below.

Products

Ecover - Produce a huge range of liquid cleaning products including: washing up liquids, dishwasher tablets, laundry liquids and tablets, household cleaners, hand soaps and even room fresheners and car wax.  The product range is on their web site, but they can be bought from a number of ethical retailers, as well as in a lot of supermarkets.

EcoZone - Make a variety of cleaning products, including EcoBalls, which are used to clean laundry instead of liquids and powders.  They also make the EcoStapler, that staples without staples, as well as other household products.
